When you make a bank transfer (deposit, withdrawal, or crypto purchase/sale) on Binance, some channels may contain a unique reference code that starts with and ends with “B”. This unique reference code identifies your specific Binance account and the transaction amount. ensuring the correct amount is credited to the right account.
Please note that you must include the reference code when making a bank transfer.
You must include the reference code when initiating a transaction. Typically, you can enter the code under “Reference”, “Message to Receiver”, "Originator to Beneficiary Information (OBI)", "Remittance Information", or similar fields.
In some cases, there may be multiple fields for entering references. Make sure to enter the reference code under the correct field; otherwise, Binance won’t be able to view the code. If you’re unsure which field to use, you may contact your bank for further clarification.
If you made a SEPA transfer without a reference code, your deposit will be refunded to the original bank account. This refund will be processed automatically and may take up to 7 business days to complete. If possible, we recommend canceling the deposit from the bank to avoid any potential issues.
