• On-chain smart data platform collaborates with peaq, layer blockchain infrastructure.

  • Nuklai addresses data availability, its effective use, and fair data monetization.

  • Secure and seamless flow of reliable data is the lifeblood of the entire IoT sector: CEO of Nuklai.

Nuklai, the world’s first on-chain smart data platform designed to transform data sharing and AI model training, declared a new collaboration with Peaq, a key layer-1 blockchain space for DePIN and Machine RWAs. DePINs connected to Peaq gain access to Nuklai’s smart data infrastructure, curated data sets, as well as tools for equitable data monetization.

The integration comes at a time of high demand, as shown by the exponential growth in IoT devices. The global device count, which reached 15.1 billion in 2023, is projected to increase to 19.08 billion by 2025, producing a massive 73.1 zettabytes of data annually. Yet, a Techreport survey reveals that 97% of companies struggle to extract actionable insights from this wealth of information, indicating a significant gap between data availability and its effective use.

Fair data monetization is another issue the union is designed to address. In April, Nuklai launched a significant collaboration with Farmsent, a global Web3 marketplace for farmers, which became the first use case of a DePIN on peaq to leverage this integration.

According to Nuklai, farmers play a critical role as major data producers: DePPs collect a treasure trove of farmer data, from the farmer’s input into the food supply chain to weather impact data to product details. However, historically, they have seen their data collected and sold by IoT providers, often without receiving any benefits — an issue that stretches far beyond the agricultural sector.

Nuklai addresses both challenges by creating an on-chain smart data ecosystem, focused on optimizing the processes of sharing, requesting, evaluating, and monetizing data. By upgrading raw data into higher quality smart data and offering a wide array of data tools, Nuklai aims to enhance production efficiency and predictive data analytics across industries.

Founder and CEO of Nuklai, Matthijs de Vries stated “Secure and seamless flow of reliable data is the lifeblood of the entire IoT sector. This is why I’m excited that Nuklai’s smart data infrastructure now integrates with Peaq’s ecosystem of DePIN innovators. Furthermore, Vries stated that their joint work on Farmsent is shaping up to be a very promising early use case.
