Dash (DASH) is a cryptocurrency focused on fast and low-cost digital payments. It was launched in January 2014 and was originally called Darkcoin before being renamed Dash in 2015.
When Dash first entered the market in February 2014, its recorded price was around $0.21. Over the following years, DASH experienced major price movements. In 2017, during the crypto market boom, Dash reached its all-time high of approximately $1,642 on December 20, 2017, according to CoinMarketCap.
Since then, DASH has fallen significantly from its peak but has continued trading as an established cryptocurrency. As of September 5, 2026, DASH is trading at roughly $55 per coin, although the price changes constantly.
DASH has a maximum supply of approximately 18.9 million coins, with around 12.8 million DASH currently in circulation.
