According to Wallstreetcn, CRU Group said aluminum prices are set to fall as global supply rebounds faster than expected, with this year’s global aluminum market expected to post a supply deficit of slightly less than 500,000 tons before turning to a large surplus in 2027 and 2028 as Middle East smelters resume production and more supply comes from China and other projects. Aluminum price declines would be positive for consumers, but could be a headwind to U.S. plans to expand domestic aluminum capacity, while data centers and the auto industry are bright spots in U.S. demand.
