That sounds contradictory, but it’s the part of onchain finance I keep coming back to.

A real financial action can involve multiple dependent steps. If those steps are split into separate transactions, one can succeed while another fails.

That’s where atomicity stops being a technical detail and starts becoming a settlement problem.

Dusk is already looking at this through batch transactions and multi-step intents.

Because for financial infrastructure, the real question isn’t just:

“Did the transaction settle?”

It’s:

“Did the entire financial action settle together?”

That distinction may matter more than we give it credit for.
