$BABY Babylon (BABY): Notes From Someone Who's Watched This Movie Before

Babylon lets Bitcoin holders stake BTC natively, no bridges, no wrapped tokens, to help secure other PoS networks. The idea is clean, maybe too clean. The engineering, using Bitcoin's own scripting for slashing and security, is genuinely thoughtful.

TVL has crossed into the billions, institutions like Anchorage are involved, and an Aave integration for native BTC lending is coming. On paper, that's real progress.@BabylonLabs_io

But I've seen this story before under different names: liquid staking, restaking, now BTCfi. Same loop, new packaging. TVL doesn't tell you if people are using something or just parking capital for the incentives. Multi-staking, where one BTC secures several networks at once, sounds efficient until you ask what happens when one of those networks fails and the "isolated" risk turns out not to be so isolated.

I don't think Babylon is a scam. I think it might be a good idea that's early in a way indistinguishable from a good idea that's simply unnecessary.

Still watching. Not convinced either way.
