#baby $BABY At first I thought $BABY ’s 3 jobs — gas, governance, and security — would all work together and support each other. But when I looked closer, that’s not what’s happening.🤔
1. Gas Gas started first and it’s still running at the same steady pace. It works like a machine. Gas is only used when something actually happens on the Babylon chain. Like saving Bitcoin data, or recording data from another chain. It has nothing to do with market mood or price. The more work there is, the more gas gets used.
2. Governance Governance runs on a totally different schedule. It only becomes active when there’s a new proposal. Like making a new rule, or allowing a new chain. People vote and discuss at that time. But once the proposal ends, everyone goes quiet again. Sometimes there’s no activity for months.
3. Security Security is the quietest job. Here people lock their $BABY or Bitcoin so other POS chains can get security. Validators who do this are in it for the long term. They don’t care if gas goes up or down, and they don’t care about governance debates. They just want their rewards.
The strangest part is this: Very few people are doing all 3 things together. Most people picked just one lane. Some only use gas. Some only vote. And some just stake and sit. It feels like@BabylonLabs_io has 3 different uses, and 3 different groups of people using it.
Maybe this is normal in the beginning. In every new project, people try different parts first. Until one big use-case comes that connects everything, these 3 will keep running separately.
If in the future a big chain joins Babylon and needs both daily security and daily data, then maybe the gas users, governance users, and security users will finally start to overlap.
#baby $BABY ,,I bought Baby as a joke....... I stayed because of the people.________
3am. Couldn’t sleep.🥱 💤💤💤💤 My head was loud. Work, life, everything felt heavy. I opêned the app. Baby was down again. Lol, of course it was.
I didn’t close it. I joined the Babylon voice chat. Just wanted background noise.
What I found wasn’t noise. It was people. Real people.🥸
A girl named Sara was talking. Her mom was sick and she was scared. No one said “sorry bro” and moved on. The chat became family. 🤡 Someone said “we got you”. Someone sent her soup at 3am.
That’s when it hit me. I wasn’t holding a coin. ☠️ I was holding a door. Behind it were broken, messy, beautiful people who just wanted to belong.
Now Baby isn’t a chart to me. It’s the “did you eât today?, message. It’s the dumb memes at sunrise. It’s people who notice when you’re gone for a week.
____________BTC is the safe. Baby is the living room where life actually happens.____********* And I’ll pick the living roòm every time.
