According to Foresight News, an engineer from Twitter X has announced that the platform is moving towards making 'likes' private. The engineer stated that public likes often encourage inappropriate behavior. Soon, users will be able to 'like' without worrying about who will see it. The engineer also pointed out that the more a user 'likes' posts, the better the platform's recommendation algorithm becomes.

In response to this development, Ethereum co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, expressed his approval. He stated that this is a good decision as favoritism and dishonesty are significant societal issues. He emphasized the need for people's honest opinions to be seen. Buterin also suggested that if Farcaster could emulate this and implement Zero-Knowledge (ZK) 'likes', it would be fantastic. He proposed that they could potentially utilize the technology from zupoll.
