WCT has had a number of community-reward and airdrop-style distributions since its launch in 2017. One recurring mechanism was a monthly distribution of WCT to holders of WAVES, beginning January 2017: 20% of supply in the first distribution, then 10% monthly thereafter, allocated to WAVES holders proportionally. In 2018, there was an airdrop of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to those who held WCT. Participants had to hold WCT in specially named Waves wallet addresses (containing “B”, “C”, “H”) by a snapshot date. Those addresses received proportional BCH; addresses with the letters in order got double. Bitget+1
Later, in 2019, WCT holders (and WAVES holders) also qualified for the Vostok (VST) token airdrop. This required holding WAVES/WCT during a snapshot period, being in verified addresses, etc.
