Stop Trading "Unresolved" Markets

​The most expensive time to get involved in the market is during "unresolved" hours—those slow intervals on the weekend or just before a major interest rate decision when volume dries up completely, and prices go flat.

​At these times, the market is simply "ranging," with little directional drive. Your favorite indicators will constantly signal false breakouts, prompting you to enter trades that immediately reverse on you. Every single push back and forth gets you cut up, leading to several stop-outs on moves that are just meaningless noise inside a tight range.

​The market has to reveal a clean direction before your setups hold any value. When market participation is thin, stay on the sidelines. Let the major players resolve the direction, wait for volume to return, and only execute when there is actual force behind the move. It’s better to miss the first 1% of a real trend than to give up 5% of your portfolio trying to guess the break.
