🇺🇺 Russian Missile Strikes Hit Kyiv as Ukraine Seeks Stronger Air Defenses

Russian forces launched an overnight missile attack on Kyiv on October 22, killing at least four civilians and injuring dozens, including children, according to the Associated Press. The attack came as diplomatic efforts to restart U.S.-mediated peace talks continued, highlighting the gap between negotiations and conditions on the battlefield.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for additional U.S. Patriot air-defense support. Although Russia has signaled willingness to resume talks in November, territorial disputes and security guarantees remain unresolved, and no peace agreement has been reached.
