Nvidia Corp. is in talks to participate in a new investment round for artificial intelligence startup Perplexity.
The Information reports.
This could value the startup at more than $30 billion. Last year, the company was valued at $20 billion in a previous round.
Current investors in the project include Japan’s SoftBank Group and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Perplexity’s annual revenue has more than tripled since the beginning of the year and now exceeds $750 million.
A significant portion of this growth was driven by its cloud-based AI agent, Perplexity Computer, which the business is actively using to automate business processes.
At the same time, the company plans to hold an initial public offering (IPO) in 2028, regardless of how the market perceives the listing of competitors such as Anthropic and OpenAI.
