🔥 Vitalik Just Challenged Ethereum's Biggest Bullish Narrative! Is $ETH 's Store-of-Value Era Beginning?

Guys, Vitalik Buterin has shared a new post explaining why he wants people to see ETH as a long-term store of value, not just a token that becomes more valuable because of coin burning.

In his latest post on X, he said:

"ETH as fee-burning token never was as strong as it seemed."

Let's understand what he means.

For years, one of Ethereum's biggest selling points was that a part of transaction fees gets burned, permanently removing ETH from circulation. When more ETH is burned than newly created, the total supply goes down. Many investors see this as a bullish factor. But Vitalik says this alone cannot guarantee ETH's long-term value. When market activity slows, fewer transactions happen, meaning less ETH gets burned.

But don't misunderstand him! He is not asking Ethereum to stop burning ETH. He clearly said: "EIP-1559 (including its burn) is fine and good, we should keep them."

Instead, he wants ETH's value to come from what Ethereum actually offers: security, decentralization, privacy and a network that nobody can easily control.

👉 My take: This is an interesting change in how Ethereum's founder wants people to think about $ETH . He's saying Ethereum doesn't need to depend on burning more coins to prove its value. But here's the big question: Can ETH become a strong store of value like Bitcoin, even when its total supply can still increase?

What do you guys think..🤔?
