Nvidia GPUs Worth $11.4M Stolen in California Heist
Six pallets of Nvidia GPUs worth $11.4 million (USD) were stolen in a California cargo heist after a truck posing as a food transport company disappeared.
This theft raises a bigger question for the global tech supply chain. Nvidia chips already rival precious metals in value per shipment, and demand keeps climbing as AI adoption grows worldwide. As AR and wearable hardware adoption accelerates alongside AI, can logistics networks designed for ordinary cargo ever fully protect shipments this lucrative to steal, or will theft simply become a cost of doing business?
