While $BTC Made a New Low, $ZEC Took Back $1,300 — NU7 Is Live

Today BTC swept to $74,888, a fresh 7-week low. One major refused to follow: $ZEC . Full logic — and the catch.

📊 Snapshot (Binance, 7 Nov, 01:30 PKT)
$ZEC $1,328 | +6.2% in 24h | range $1,237–$1,388 | spot volume $299M | market cap ~$22.5B, rank 10
The only top-10 coin green with real volume today (XRP −5.3%, ETH −0.8%).

🧩 The logic, step by step
1) The catalyst is DELIVERED, not promised. NU7 activated today at 02:34 UTC (block 3,543,405): block time 75s → 25s — confirmations ~3x faster.
2) NU7 changes the economics. 60% of block fees now go into a Network Sustainability reserve instead of straight to miners — less immediate sell supply. Issuance and the 21M cap unchanged.
3) A small permanent supply cut: the old Sprout pool is retired, and the 12,224 ZEC left in it (~$16M) can never be spent.
4) Structure agrees: price reclaimed the 50-day average ($1,317) after the Nov 2 flush, the 20-day is rising at $1,251, and today's $1,388 high tests October resistance. Funding neutral (+0.01%, OKX) — spot-led, not a leverage pile-up.

⚠️ The catch — read this before buying
Grayscale's ZCSH fund: −$10.99M outflows Thursday, −$14.77M on the week (SoSoValue) — the fund is selling into this strength. And with the upgrade live, the "buy the rumour" fuel is spent. If BTCloses $74,888 for real, ZEC will not stay immune.

🎲 Odds from ZEC's own history (no options market exists)
Today's setup (close above the 50-day, RSI 50–70, +5%+ in 3 days) occurred 46 times in 1,000 daily candles, de-clustered. Within 7 days: +10% hit first ~52%, −10% first ~33%, neither ~15%.

🎯 Plan
No chasing a +6% day into $1,340–$1,398 resistance.
Dip zone: $1,250–$1,285 (rising 20-day + breakout retest). Breakout entry: only on a daily close above $1,400.
Invalidation: daily close below $1,240. Targets: $1,493 → $1,698 (the 52-week high).
Spot only, half size. Confidence: Medium-Low — real strength, hostile market.
