BTC Just Erased the Election Bounce. Here's My Line in the Sand
BTC is near $75,500, down about 6.1% in 24h after a high near $80,920 (Binance BTCUSDT, 11/6 ~07:00 UTC+8). One session wiped out Wednesday's post-election rebound. ETH fell harder, about -8.7% to roughly $2,217; SOL about -6.8% to roughly $89 (Binance).
The driver wasn't an on-chain surprise. US tech and AI stocks sold off hard, and BTC again traded like a leveraged Nasdaq extension rather than a hedge. Reports put crypto liquidations over the prior 24h around $718.5M, mostly longs (Investing.com, 11/5 session).
My view: the battleground is $75,500–$76,500 — election-night low territory. Hold that band on a daily basis and there's a path to rebuild toward $80k–$82k. Lose it cleanly and the next area people watch sits near the low-$73k region. I'm not calling a bottom, and I'm not chasing the first green candle until that zone proves itself. Until then I keep size small and treat bounce candles as noise.
Relative tape matters too. ETH is underperforming BTC on this drop; SOL is roughly in line. This still looks like broad risk-off, not a BTC-only story. I'd get more constructive when BTC holds support while ETH and SOL stop bleeding harder — demand returning, not just shorts covering.
That's also why I care about strategies I can inspect.
