FEAR, GREED, AND THE CALM MIDDLE — WHAT MARKET SENTIMENT REALLY MEANS

Every day, the crypto market has a mood. Traders call that mood market sentiment. It is not a price, and it is not a prediction. It is simply how the crowd is feeling.

What do the three moods mean?

1. FEAR — MANY PEOPLE ARE SELLING IN PANIC.
Fear usually follows bad news or a sharp fall. Traders sell quickly, often without checking the facts.

2. GREED — MANY PEOPLE ARE BUYING IN EXCITEMENT.
Greed usually follows a fast rise. Traders buy quickly because they do not want to miss out.

3. NEUTRAL — NEITHER PANIC NOR EXCITEMENT.
Neutral means the crowd is balanced. Buyers and sellers are closer to equal, and the mood is calmer.

Why should a beginner understand sentiment?

1. MOOD MOVES FASTER THAN FACTS.
A crowd can panic or celebrate before the full story is clear.

2. EXTREME MOOD CAN LAST LONGER THAN EXPECTED.
Fear does not always mean a quick recovery, and greed does not always mean a quick fall.

3. SENTIMENT IS NOT VALUE.
A coin's mood today does not tell you its long-term use, safety, or future.

A calm habit for beginners:
Use sentiment as a warning light, not as a decision. When the mood is extreme, slow down, check the facts, and follow your own plan — not the crowd.

When the market mood turns fearful or greedy, do you follow the crowd, or do you stick to your own plan?
