Binance Futures has announced an important update to its trading fee promotion for Traditional Finance (TradFi) Perpetual Contracts.
In an announcement published on November 4, 2026, Binance confirmed that a previously planned reduction in taker fee discounts will not be implemented.
This means VIP 4–9 traders will continue receiving a 50% discount on taker fees, instead of the previously proposed 40% discount.
🔹 What Has Changed?
On October 28, Binance announced plans to reduce the taker fee discount for VIP 4–9 users from 50% to 40%, effective November 5, 2026, at 08:00 UTC.
However, the latest announcement reverses that planned adjustment.
Under the updated decision:
Regular to VIP 3: Continue receiving a 20% taker fee discount.
VIP 4 to VIP 9: Continue receiving a 50% taker fee discount.
All eligible users from Regular to VIP 9: Continue benefiting from 0% maker fees on TradFi Perps.
The promotion remains effective from March 31, 2026, until further notice.
🔹 Understanding the Trading Fee Structure
Binance has provided the following promotional fee structure:
VIP Level Maker Fee Taker Fee
Regular 0.0000% 0.0400%
VIP 1 0.0000% 0.0400%
VIP 2 0.0000% 0.0320%
VIP 3 0.0000% 0.0256%
VIP 4 0.0000% 0.0150%
VIP 5 0.0000% 0.0135%
VIP 6 0.0000% 0.0125%
VIP 7 0.0000% 0.0110%
VIP 8 0.0000% 0.0100%
VIP 9 0.0000% 0.0085%
Users paying eligible trading fees with BNB can receive an additional 10% discount on taker fees.
🔹 Why Is This Update Important?
1. Lower trading costs
Maintaining the 50% discount means VIP 4–9 traders avoid the previously proposed reduction in their fee benefits.
2. More predictable trading expenses
Keeping the existing fee structure allows eligible traders to plan their trading costs without the scheduled discount adjustment.
3. Continued TradFi market access
TradFi perpetual contracts provide exposure to traditional financial markets through crypto-based derivatives. This creates additional trading opportunities for eligible users.
🔹 My Market Analysis
This announcement is a positive development for Binance Futures users, especially those trading at higher VIP levels.
However, it is important to understand that lower trading fees do not automatically translate into higher profits or increased market activity.
Trading costs are only one part of a trader's overall performance. Market volatility, funding rates, liquidity, leverage and risk management remain equally important.
Another important distinction: TradFi Perpetual Contracts do not give traders ownership of the underlying traditional financial assets. They are derivative instruments, and positions can be liquidated when margin requirements are not maintained.
🔹 Final Thoughts
Binance's latest decision provides continuity for its TradFi Perps fee promotion and preserves the existing 50% taker discount for VIP 4–9 traders.
For active futures traders, fee structures matter because transaction costs can accumulate over time.
But remember: A lower trading fee does not mean lower trading risk.
What do you think about Binance keeping the 50% discount for VIP 4–9 users? Is this a positive move for futures traders?
