I've been waiting for one line from Mercado Bitcoin since Monday: a date. Now there's one — with a catch.
The Brazilian exchange says account access returns in phases starting Monday, November 9. First step is view-only: balances, statements, holdings and investments through its website. Transfers, withdrawals and trading come only in later phases, after independent security testing.
That matters because the November 2 post left the timeline blank. Mercado Bitcoin also says it will use company funds to replenish affected assets, and that more than $15 million in stolen funds has already been frozen with industry help — up from about $11 million blocked in its November 2 update. Analyst estimates still put the theft above $46 million, which the exchange has not confirmed as a final total.
So Monday restores visibility, not function. $BTC near $80,543 (+3.7%/24h) and $ETH near $2,426 (+6.3%) on Binance spot is context, not a reaction I'm claiming for this update.
