ApeChain is overhauling its entire cross-chain infrastructure. In an announcement on November 4, 2026, the network revealed that it will begin using Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) instead of LayerZero and has designated this protocol as the standard bridging solution across the entire Yuga Labs ecosystem.

With this change, all projects under the Yuga umbrella—including the Bored Ape Yacht Club will operate under a single interoperability framework.
