NEAR Bounces Hard Off $3.69, But the Real Test Is Just Ahead
NEAR Protocol has had an interesting few days. After peaking near $4.57 earlier in the week, the price slid steadily on the 4H chart, finding a floor at $3.69 before buyers stepped in with a strong green candle. At the time of writing, NEAR is trading at $4.054, up 6.32% on the day, with a 24h range of $3.69 to $4.081.
What stands out to me:
The bounce looks genuine. The recovery came with a clear jump in volume, and 24h trading volume sits at roughly 25.93M NEAR (about $100M). Moves like this tend to be more convincing when participation picks up.
The short-term trend has turned. Price has pushed back above the MA(7) at 3.887, the first sign of momentum shifting after a sharp downtrend.
Resistance is stacked overhead. The MA(25) sits around 4.115, just above current price, and the MA(99) is much higher near 4.539. Both are still sloping down, so the broader trend hasn’t flipped yet.
The level I’m watching is the 4.10 to 4.12 zone. A clean 4H close above it would be the first real sign that this recovery has legs. If it gets rejected there, a retest of the 3.87 area or even the recent low wouldn’t surprise me.
A single strong candle doesn’t make a trend reversal, so I’m staying patient and letting the chart confirm before getting too excited.
What’s your read on NEAR here? A real reversal or just a relief bounce?
