Incident recovery update - 90% of affected assets now replenished

Dear Binancian

We're writing with an update on the recent security incident - and on the steps we've taken to keep your funds safe.

90% of affected assets now replenished — up from 80%

Since our last update, the covered amount has risen from approximately 80% to 90%. All BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC are fully backed at 100%. We'll keep purchasing the remaining assets through market and OTC channels until the covered amount reaches 100% for all tokens.

How the replenishment was funded

A partial deployment of the Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU) — expected to complete over the next 24 hours. You can view the updated balance here.

A portion of our Futures Insurance Fund. A remaining balance is maintained in the fund at all times, and you can check the updated fund balance here.

Binance's own corporate treasury.

The outstanding 10% consists of less liquid tokens outside the top ten, which may take longer to source. We're working with industry partners and will update you as that completes.

New Proof of Reserves snapshot now live
We've taken a fresh Proof of Reserves snapshot at 2026-10-31 00:00 UTC, now available on the PoR website. The zero-knowledge proof takes 40–50 hours to generate, so once complete - estimated Tuesday, 2026-11-03 - holders of these ten tokens can independently verify their assets are at minimum 1:1 backed by then.

Withdrawals on track to resume
Our next milestone is resuming withdrawal services. We remain on track to reopen withdrawals within our previously stated timeframe - Sunday, 2026-11-01 - and will share confirmed details as soon as they're available.

Binance will cover all direct losses associated directly with the incident. We'll continue to demonstrate that through measurable progress, transparent reporting, and concrete action. Full update can be found here.
