$HYPE went from $78.19 to $97.74 in 13 hours last Thursday. Today it's back at $84.95, and almost nobody is talking about it.

What happened on Oct 29: ICE and Trade[XYZ] announced plans for a regulated trading venue built on Hyperliquid infrastructure. Volume exploded and price ripped 25% from the low. ICE later revised its post to stress KYC/AML and regulated intermediaries, and there's still no approval or launch date. The market has been slowly pricing that in ever since.

Where it stands now (Binance spot):
• 24h: -0.69%, range $82.59–$86.66
• 7d: still +7.7% (from $78.91)
• 13% below last week's high
• 24h volume ~$33M vs a 7-day daily average near $52M, so this pullback is happening on quiet tape

Levels I'm watching: $85 is the pivot it's fighting for right now. Below that, $80–82 is the zone where the breakout started. A clean reclaim of $88 would put the post-news range back in play.

One more thing on the calendar: Nov 6 is the next core-contributor vesting date. Estimates of how many tokens actually move vary a lot, so watch on-chain flows rather than headlines.

HYPE moves fast in both directions. Size accordingly.

Do you see this as a healthy cooldown or the news premium fading?

Not financial advice.
