Nvidia, Costco, Nike and Micron Technology have objected to having their shares traded on the blockchain-based stock venue that OKX and Intercontinental Exchange are developing. An OKXICE public notice dated Friday, October 30, brings the number of objectors to 50. Among the 62 companies initially selected for trading, 43, about 69%, have objected. The proposed venue would support continuous trading in digital versions of U.S. stocks using stablecoins. OKXICE co-chairman Andrew Cuomo said initial hesitation was expected and predicted greater participation as companies understand tokenization's benefits. Companies without disclosed objections have not necessarily endorsed the venue, and their shares are not necessarily available at launch.
