$NEAR is down about 5.6% on the day and just wicked to 4.00 on the 4h before bouncing back to 4.14. It's now given back most of the bounce off last week's 3.90 low, and the push to 4.56 got sold hard.
On the NanoTrading Fire chart (4h) price sits well under the volume profile value area, VAL is around 4.45 and the fat part of the profile is 4.5-5.3. The liquidation heatmap is busy on both sides: a dense stack right overhead at about 4.15-4.35, the thickest bands around 4.45-4.55, and below price a bright cluster from 3.90 to 4.10, which is exactly where that wick went.
Binance perps: OI barely moved, roughly $181-183M after sliding from $187M a day ago, funding flat at 0.01%. The interesting bit is top traders: their long/short on positions went from about 2.07 to 2.23 while price dropped. So the big accounts are leaning long into this, not running.
My read: $NEAR is chopping inside a 3.90-4.55 box with liquidity stacked at both ends. I'd want a 4h close back over 4.35 before thinking 4.45-4.55, and a clean loss of 3.90 probably flushes those leaning longs. Until then I'm treating the middle as noise.
Are you buying the 4.00 area here or waiting for 3.90 to break first?
NFA, just my chart notes 👀
