How it works:
1️⃣ You send coins to a friend or your own wallet
2️⃣ A scammer sends you a tiny or zero-value transfer from an address that starts and ends with the same characters as the real one
3️⃣ Next time you copy the address from your history, you grab the fake one
Most of us only check the first 4 and last 4 characters. That's exactly what they count on.
Fix it:
✅ Never copy addresses from transaction history
✅ Save trusted addresses in your address book / whitelist
✅ Send a small test amount first on big transfers
