Wall Street just made its biggest move into crypto perps yet.

Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, has signed a definitive agreement with Trade[XYZ] to bring Hyperliquid-based perpetual futures onshore in the United States. ICE will exclusively operate the regulated markets, take a strategic minority stake in Trade[XYZ], and build a new dedicated retail venue with its own clearing structure, separate from its institutional futures business. Stan Druckenmiller is joining as an investor.

The planned venue, called ICE[XYZ], would offer 24/7 perpetual contracts on crypto, equities, indices, commodities and FX, distributed through brokers and platforms including ICE's OKX joint venture.

The market read this instantly: $HYPE jumped more than 15%, pushing past $93 toward its September high near $98, on a platform that has already cleared over $650B in volume in just over a year.

This is the validation moment for onchain perps. The NYSE owner is not competing with Hyperliquid, it is building on it.

Risk, stated plainly: nothing is approved yet. The whole deal is conditional on CFTC approval, there is no launch date, and regulated buildouts move at institutional speed, not crypto speed. A long approval process, or a legal fight over how perps are classified, could delay this for quarters.

📌 Sharing personal opinions only, not financial advice or a recommendation to buy/sell. Crypto is highly risky; DYOR and you are solely responsible. No coin promotion.
