Bitcoin is near $81K, yet Google searches for "Bitcoin" just hit a five-year low. That's quieter than the 2022 bear market. 🤔

Worldwide Google Trends read 20 for Oct 18–24, against peaks near 100 over the past five years. Robinhood's Q3 crypto revenue fell 55% YoY to $120M, and its crypto volume dropped 38% to $50B.

My take: low search interest isn't a buy signal by itself. A lot of retail now gets exposure through ETFs and banking apps — or asks an AI instead of Googling "Bitcoin." And on a QoQ basis, Robinhood's crypto volume actually rose 23% from Q2. "Retail is gone" is too simple. "Retail is bored" fits better.

Boredom at $81K is a very different setup from euphoria near the ~$126K highs. I'm watching $80K as support and a reclaim of $82K. Until then, quiet chop is the base case.
