Every time Bitcoin starts recovering, the same thing happens. Traders rush into altcoins, green candles create excitement, and suddenly everyone expects another massive rally.
But here's the problem: a market rebound is not the same as a confirmed uptrend.
Bitcoin recently recovered above $81,000, while Ethereum and several altcoins also showed signs of strength. However, the broader market picture remains mixed, meaning traders need to be selective rather than blindly bullish.
Here are three things I'm watching closely:
🔹 1. Bitcoin's ability to hold support
A breakout matters, but holding the reclaimed level matters even more. If Bitcoin loses support again, altcoins could face renewed selling pressure.
🔹 2. Spot volume versus futures activity
A price increase supported by genuine spot buying can be more convincing than a rally driven mainly by leveraged positions. Volume alone, however, cannot confirm market direction.
🔹 3. The Federal Reserve factor
Interest-rate decisions and the outlook for monetary policy can influence liquidity and risk appetite across financial markets, including crypto.
My strategy: I'm not buying a coin simply because it is pumping. I want to see a confirmed breakout, healthy trading volume, and a successful retest before considering an entry.
Sometimes the best trade is the one you don't take.
Remember: protecting capital during uncertain conditions is just as important as making profits during a bull run.
What's your strategy right now—buying the dip or waiting for confirmation?
