Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour said the platform is discussing additional user protections with regulators and would accept raising the minimum age for prediction market participation to 21. According to Odaily, Kalshi plans to cap monthly deposits at $2,500 for users under 21 and create special accounts for them to discourage high-risk behavior.

Mansour said Kalshi, which is regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, does not take the other side of customer trades; funds lost by users go to other traders. He also said the platform needs to work with regulators on appropriate protections to address gaps in current regulations.
