The London Metal Exchange (LME) postponed settlement of contracts with an October 28 delivery date by one day. According to Sina Finance, the exchange said a technical failure on October 27 caused many trades to be recorded with incorrect delivery dates. Settlement was moved to October 29 to give members and the exchange time to correct the relevant system information. The LME said that without further action, the incident could “significantly affect the settlement process.”
