Akash Network said it has selected Solana as the destination for its planned blockchain migration. The decentralized GPU and AI compute network currently runs its own Cosmos SDK-based chain, but previously said it intends to move to a shared-security architecture to reduce network maintenance costs and the capital burden associated with AKT staking. Solana and Ethereum had both been under consideration before Akash made its final choice.
