Blockchain data can reveal transfers, balances, contract interactions, and changes in token distribution. Yet activity alone does not explain why transactions occurred or whether they represent sustained economic demand.

For USDD, meaningful analysis should distinguish between raw transfer counts and measures that provide stronger context, such as repeat usage, liquidity conditions, concentration of activity, and participation across different applications. Analysts should also account for automated transactions and activity that may be associated with incentives.

No single metric fully describes a stablecoin ecosystem. Combining multiple indicators with clear definitions produces a more balanced view of adoption and makes it easier to avoid interpreting temporary bursts of activity as evidence of lasting growth.
