Starknet Votes 93.5% to Explore Independent L1 Exit
Starknet holders backed research into leaving Ethereum for an independent, post-quantum Layer 1, with over 93.5% support. ETH trades near $2,345 today after a rough month.
Starknet's research vote raises a bigger question for the whole rollup ecosystem. If one of Ethereum's largest Layer 2 networks can seriously study independence, how many others might eventually consider the same path? And if several rollups did move toward standalone chains, would that weaken Ethereum's role as the default settlement layer, or simply redraw where that settlement activity happens across a wider set of networks?
