#Kalshi targets Wall Street institutions and plans to launch U.S. CPI futures in December this year
The prediction market platform Kalshi plans to launch futures contracts tracking the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) and core CPI in December this year, is actively promoting the product to major banks and hedge funds, and has hired Michael Ashton, a former Barclays trader known as "Mr. Inflation," to design the contracts and expand its institutional client base. The product will offer standardized futures instruments that directly track CPI, enabling institutional investors to trade and hedge inflation risk more conveniently.
