While checking Dusk’s September 28 launch, I kept coming back to the $0.088 NIL close. The price was easy to find. What I couldn't find was an equally clear picture of how reliably Covenants were executing.

Dusk keeps encrypted instructions private, but nodes can still see price and time conditions. That matters.

Darkfall is planned for November 2026, bringing Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Optimism under one node network, with slashing added. A 70,000 NIL stake could support multiple chains. But operators still need ETH. Spend 0.01 ETH monthly versus 0.10 ETH with identical rewards, and profitability changes. Congestion adds another headache.

Skyglow proposes cross-chain settlement without bridging assets. Nightside brings real-world evidence, like shipment confirmations. Imagine 1,000 Covenants depending on one verified event. Who makes sure that evidence is reliable?

Neon aims to hide conditions and improve programmable logic. Aurora adds quantum-resistant protection for long-term secrecy. Moonshine targets roughly tenfold lower data costs through blobs and aggregated proofs, alongside stake-based capacity.

The roadmap covers seven eras, but each brings new costs and responsibilities.

For $NIL, I want to see completed executions, actual fees and operator expenses. More features sound useful. Whether they pay for themselves is another question.
