📊 $BTC 82,096 (-1.3%): yesterday's two-week high is already gone
Market Brief: October 22nd, 2026 (Thursday)
$ETH 2,416 (-1.7%). Total cap $2.76T, BTC dominance 59.5%.
🔸 BTC hit 84,898 on Wednesday, its highest since October 7, and has handed back 3.3%. It sits near the bottom of its 24h range.
🔸 Only 4 of 55 liquid pairs are green. China's CSI 300 entered a bear market, about 20% below its June peak per BeInCrypto, and Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong fell too.
🔸 BTC funding turned negative at 08:00 UTC, the first time since October 15, and open interest is down 4% to $7.6B. Leverage is leaving.
What I'm doing: waiting. A daily close under 81.2K, this week's low, would change my read.
Follow for tomorrow's brief. Is Asia's selloff a warning for crypto, or noise? 👇
Data: Binance spot/futures, CoinGecko, Binance Square, Binance News, 08:26 UTC. Not financial advice.
