Ethereum ETFs just bled past $1 billion in October — and ETH bounced anyway.

US spot Ether ETFs have shed $1.08B since October 1, per SoSoValue data — already the biggest monthly outflow of 2026, with eight trading sessions still to go. Tuesday's $26M withdrawal marked the 15th straight negative session. The drain wiped out September's entire $832M net inflow, though year-to-date is still barely positive at ~$485M. Meanwhile bitcoin ETFs took in $23M Tuesday, after $527M Monday — the two products are now moving in opposite directions.

Here's the part worth noticing: ETH is up 3% today near $2,455, comfortably above its $2,311 realized price. CoinGlass shows $62M of today's $90.6M in ETH liquidations hit short positions — the rebound squeezed bears. ETF flows are one demand channel, not the whole market, and right now spot buyers are absorbing what funds are selling.

Tape: BTC $83,344 (+2.3%), ETH $2,455 (+3.0%) — context only, no causation.

If ETH holds $2,400 through 15 days of ETF selling, who's doing the buying? NFA. DYOR.
