➤ Teaching through use cases: why payments make a strong first lesson

🏛️ TRON Academy joined @camblockchains and @blockchainox for a workshop led by @SamElfa0, Community Spokesperson for TRON DAO, exploring USDT on TRON and its real-world applications in payments and remittances.

🔍 The choice of topic is telling. Blockchain education often starts with abstractions: consensus, cryptography, decentralisation. This workshop began with something concrete, a stablecoin used for payments and remittances, which many students can connect to their own experience of sending or receiving money across borders.

🧮 Why use-case-first teaching tends to work:
▫️ Relevance: students at Cambridge and Oxford come from many countries, and international money transfers are a familiar problem.
▫️ Measurability: payments have clear outcomes, such as cost, speed and finality, that can be compared with existing systems.
▫️ A path to depth: once the use case is understood, questions about how settlement works, why fees are low and what risks exist lead naturally into the technical layers.

📊 TRON offers unusually rich material for such a lesson. The network averages about $24B in USDT transfers per day and roughly 12M transactions daily, with blocks produced about every 3 seconds. Those figures allow students to examine a payment system operating at scale rather than a prototype.

🌐 A workshop that starts with "how do people actually use this?" builds understanding that lasts, because it is anchored in a problem students recognise. Engaging two university blockchain societies at once also widens the reach of that lesson.

⚠️ Educational events don't constitute financial advice; students exploring stablecoins should understand issuer, custody and smart-contract risks.
