Upgrades are supposed to lift coins. $ZEC is down ~30% walking into the biggest one it has had in years.

Today developers make the go-or-no-go call on NU7 — the upgrade that cuts Zcash block times from 75 seconds to 25, with mainnet targeted for November 5. The tape is trying: $ZEC at $1,213 (+6.6%/24h) off the $1,049 October low, on $164M of spot volume.

But a bounce is not a trend. Overhead is the $1,240–$1,254 band, where six days of highs stack — today's $1,235 high sits just under it. Support: $1,049–$1,082. A 4h close under $1,050 retires the bounce.

The honest risks: no outcome is confirmed yet — this can still turn into sell-the-news. At activation, the legacy Sprout pool freezes — any ZEC still sitting there becomes unspendable unless moved before. And Grayscale's spot ZEC fund bled ~$18M last week, so the institutional bid is thinning, not building.

Does $ZEC hold $1,213 into the NU7 call, or does today turn into sell-the-news? NFA. DYOR.
