StonkFun, a token launchpad on @Solana, has posted fast early numbers since opening in August, raising the question of whether it can become a leading platform in a crowded field. The project, which operates as @LaunchOnSF, has attracted traders with a model that pairs new tokens with tokenized stocks rather than only $SOL or stablecoins.
Fees and volume since launch
DefiLlama data shows StonkFun has collected $39.91 million in cumulative fees, with cumulative DEX volume at $903.46 million. All of it has come on Solana. The same dashboard shows fees of $21.6 million over the past 30 days, though 24-hour fees were about $96,000, suggesting activity has cooled from earlier peaks.
The platform officially opened on August 3, 2026, while the $STONK token went live on July 23 in a pool on Raydium, according to a MEXC Crypto Pulse explainer. The same report says $STONK launched with a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens, no presale and revoked mint and freeze authority.
A key catalyst came in early September. The Block reported that $STONK jumped more than 250% to a market cap of roughly $140 million after StonkFun integrated with Raydium's LaunchLab. Pump.fun, the dominant Solana launchpad, later copied the feature, according to Our Crypto Talk, which also reports the integration cut token deployment costs from 0.29 SOL to 0.03 SOL.
The burn mechanism and the risks
$STONK is tied to platform activity through a buyback and burn. Roughly 60% of platform fees are used to buy the token on the open market and burn it, with the remainder retained, according to Nulltx. StonkFun announced on September 25 that 18% of the total supply had been burned, KuCoin News reported.
The same Nulltx analysis notes the flywheel depends on continued trading activity: buyback pace slows if volume drops. Cryptonews.net also reported that StonkFun briefly overtook Robinhood Chain's $PONS in daily revenue in September, with $1.355 million in fees against $1.21 million.
Whether StonkFun can hold its position will depend on how long demand for stock-paired launches lasts, and on how Pump.fun and other launchpads respond. Its early fee and volume figures are strong for a platform less than three months old, but they are not a guarantee of lasting leadership.
