BNB Chain has opened a dedicated community forum for NewL1, a new Layer 1 network. According to Odaily, the testnet is expected to launch by the end of 2026. The forum went live in July 2026 and was promoted on October 17 and 19.

NewL1 is EVM-compatible and designed for trading, payments, and AI applications, including autonomous transactions by AI agents. Its performance targets include pre-confirmation times below 50 milliseconds, throughput exceeding 100,000 transactions per second, and subsecond finality.

The network will not issue a new token; BNB will be its sole gas token. NewL1 plans to use a TxStream structure to reduce front-running risk, add privacy features, and build a native cross-chain bridge to BSC. Forum discussions will cover token economics, consensus protocols, and privacy, while price speculation is prohibited.
