Why is $ETH still hanging around 2400 when the 4-hour chart keeps printing lower highs?

Price looks weak, but the positioning underneath is quietly stretched in one direction.

The 4-hour trend is flat. RSI is in the low 40s — not oversold, just soft. Sellers are in control, but no panic yet. There’s also an unfilled gap around 2420–2433. Markets often drift back to fill those.

Futures side: funding is barely positive, but the long/short ratio is nearly 3:1. The crowd is net long, yet nobody’s paying a premium for it. That’s not a squeeze setup — it’s a market holding its breath. If price loses this area, those crowded longs could get uncomfortable fast.

Key levels: price is hovering near 2415 — that’s the pivot. If $ETH loses it on a 4-hour close, the next meaningful area below is around 2297.

Invalidation: a 4-hour close back above 2481 and this read is off the table.

Path of least resistance is still down until proven otherwise. The risk isn’t the dip — it’s assuming the bottom is in just because price stopped falling.
