Ethereum’s October 26 upgrade date is for a testnet.
The Ethereum Foundation’s October 16 announcement schedules Glamsterdam on Hoodi for October 26 at 17:42 UTC. Mainnet timing remains undecided.
The upgrade tests changes to block building and validation intended to support greater throughput. For $ETH watchers, testnet progress matters, but it is not a mainnet launch or an immediate fee-cut promise. Check the network named in the headline before trading the date.
