Nillion Covenants: Keeping Trading Intent Private Until Execution
One thing I find interesting about $NIL is how Covenants approach a problem traders know too well: exposing your strategy before your trade even executes.
On-chain, visible orders and trading conditions can give bots and other market participants a chance to react before you do. Keeping that information private until the right conditions are met could make a real difference.
With Dusk now live on Ethereum mainnet, Covenants are moving into a stage where developers can start building around this idea.
What I’m most interested in is what comes next. Multi-chain support and cross-chain settlement could extend encrypted instructions beyond Ethereum, while custom conditions could open up more possibilities for automated trading agents.
There’s still plenty to prove around security, execution costs, and adoption, but the direction makes sense to me.
As a trader, I want to see how this works in real market conditions.
Your strategy is part of your edge. You shouldn’t have to reveal it before execution.
