Bitcoin is still about 35% below its $126K record, but it held $80K after one of the choppiest weeks of the year.
What changed:
🔄 Leverage reset: liquidations fell to about $315M, from nearly $1B on Oct 15
👀 Retail attention: Google searches for Bitcoin reportedly dropped to multi-year lows
🏦 ETFs: flows are mixed, with about $82M out of US spot Bitcoin ETFs on Oct 16, $70M out of Ether products, and inflows on Oct 15
Two ways to read it:
🐂 Bullish: cleared leverage and low public attention can mean a healthier base
🐻 Bearish: institutions aren’t buying, and $80K has to keep holding
Levels for the weekend:
🟢 Support: about $80.8K
🔴 Resistance: about $82.8K
Volumes are thin on weekends, so moves can be exaggerated.
What’s next: the Fed meets Oct 27-28, and the next CPI report is on Nov 10.
