#nil $NIL @Nillion Dusk is live on Ethereum mainnet. It's the first of seven phases in Nillion's Encrypted Markets roadmap, and I think it's worth watching.
Dusk brings Covenants to Ethereum. You seal an instruction to a condition and post it on-chain in encrypted form Nobody can read it until the condition is met and Then it unlocks no keeper is needed and no single party decides when it acts.
What I like most is the problem it tackles. Crypto privacy has mostly focused on hiding who sent what. But it often leaves the plan exposed. Your stop-loss can still be visible onchain giving others a chance to act before it triggers. Covenants aim to protect that part too.
I also like the approach to building it. The network is designed to let anyone run a node with staking and penalties for misbehavior The SDK also handles much of the underlying cryptography making it easier for developers to get started.
The roadmap is where things get more interesting. Darkfall aims to expand Covenants across EVM chains. Skyglow takes things further with cross-chain settlement, allowing a condition on one chain to trigger an action on another. Support beyond EVM chains is also planned and that is the part I'm most excited to see.
The later phases focus on custom conditions, stronger privacy, post-quantum security, and lower costs. If these plans work out, they could make private on-chain trading more practical.
Of course, a roadmap is a plan, not a delivery. Dusk is still early, and I want to see more real apps, active nodes, and people actually using Covenants.
For me, the real test is not the roadmap itself and it is what developers build and whether people find it useful.$NIL @Nillion #Nillon
