Bitcoin dropped 1.0% in the last 16 hours to 81532.5 and confirmed the loss of momentum from the previous note. Price sits 23.9% up from the bottom of its twenty-day 4h range, keeping clear of the 79732.3 low but still 6.6% under the range high. Both the 20- and 50-period moving averages are above price, at 82273.3 and 82634.79, and the 4h RSI fell to 43.2 from 48.4 a day ago, signalling pressure remains to the downside. Any close back above 82273.3 would be the first sign this move has run out of steam.
Ethereum has faded 0.2% over the last 16 hours to 2439.26, extending the drift seen in last note but less decisively than BTC. Price is below both the 20- and 50-period moving averages at 2449.88 and 2482.41. RSI slipped to 46.1 from 47.1, and price closes just 5.4% off the range low at 2313.39. There is room for chop here, but the 2449.88 fast average is the nearest level ETH would need to reclaim for momentum to flip.
