Stablecoin payments just rose 45% in a market where the fear and greed index is stuck at a perfectly useless 50.

That's the part that stings if you've been sitting in cash waiting for a signal. Neutrality feels like nothing is happening, so you force a trade, buy the bounce, and give back the one position that was actually working.

Look at what $USDT did in the last two winters. It wasn't a trade. It was the exit, the payroll, the thing you trusted when everything else was a story. The 45% jump in payments says that habit leaked out of the trading account and into actual settlement. People pay invoices in it now. They move money across borders on a Sunday. The speculative coins can go to sleep and the dollar-pegged ones keep clearing.

Same pattern, cleaner clothes, with $RLUSD getting pulled into core banking rails instead of living only on an exchange. A lot of the price and settlement data those flows depend on still runs through something like $LINK , which never trends until the pipes matter more than the narrative.

Hope here is quiet and a little boring, which is why most of us mistrust it. Fear is that we keep hunting the next leg while the only growing use case is the asset we treat like a waiting room. I've been on the wrong side of that before.

Still treating your stables like dry powder, or have they become the position?
