XRP has fallen roughly 6% over the past 24 hours, and extended its recent selloff and briefly pushing below the psychological $1.30 level.
The move comes as crypto remains under pressure after hotter-than-expected U.S. inflation data. Higher inflation can keep interest rates elevated for longer, strengthen the dollar and reduce demand for risk assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP.
For XRP specifically, the technical picture has also deteriorated. The token has been forming lower highs since early October and has now returned to an area that previously attracted buyers.
I analyzed the XRP/USD four-hour chart on Binance from October 15.
XRP is trading around $1.299, directly above an important $1.28-$1.30 support area.

That zone is significant because it lines up with recent lows, the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement area referenced in the current setup and a long-term average shown near $1.28 on the chart.
The RSI has also fallen to approximately 29, which puts XRP in oversold territory.
That can create conditions for a short-term bounce, but an oversold RSI does not mean the decline is automatically finished.
The structure remains bearish until XRP starts recovering lost resistance around $1.33-$1.35.
How Low Can XRP Price Go?
The first bearish target is around $1.28.
If XRP closes decisively below that area, the next level is the previous swing low near $1.25.
From the current price near $1.30, that would represent another decline of roughly 3.8%.
A deeper selloff could then expose the $1.20-$1.22 region.
Scenario Key condition XRP target Stabilization $1.28-$1.30 holds $1.33-$1.35 Bearish Confirmed break below $1.28 $1.25 Deeper bearish $1.25 fails $1.20-$1.22
Upcoming U.S. PPI data could also influence the next move. If producer inflation delivers another negative surprise for risk markets, XRP could face renewed selling pressure around this support.
For now, $1.28 is the line to watch.
Holding it could give XRP room for a relief bounce. Losing it would leave $1.25 as the next clear downside target, with $1.20 becoming increasingly relevant if sellers remain in control.
